Shot in the Lake District, the film is a 24-hour time-lapse piece using a camera head programmed to rotate twice through 360°. During the day, it captures the natural landscape as it changes over time, then to contrast with the night sky, flashes of light were introduced as a man-made element. Stunning.  

SKATIESTAN is the story of a unique project in Afghanistan giving young people skateboards and teaching them to ride like the wind. Children who've lived all their lives in abject poverty knowing nothing but war, experience a taste of freedom for the first time. A vibrant and authentic view into the youth of a battle-scarred nation, this meeting of cultures is a symbol of hope for the next generation.

THE LONGEST WAY is an endurance film with a twist. Christoph Rehage tells the story of his 1000 mile walk across China over mountains and blazing hot deserts in a captivating time-lapse montage made up of 1,400 self-portraits with the timeline and emotion conveyed by his beard and hair growth. The people and landscapes in the background of each shot provide a colourful portrayal of the interior of this enormous yet little explored country. UK...

A short glimpse of the remote Wakhan Corridor in the North East of Afghanistan, where a group of five friends spent a month exploring this mountainous region. During their time, a first ascent was made of a 5,500m peak in the Quala I Hurst valley, but perhaps most memorable was the time spent with the Kyrgyz and Wakhi as they packed up and prepared to move on from their summer pastures.

In WILD SWIM: WORDSWORTH COUNTRY journalist & founder of the Outdoor Swimming Society, Kate Rew, swims Rydal Water in the Lake District. His home for 37 years, Wordsworth described the lake as "The most loveliest spot that man hath found". Immersing herself, Kate discovers a different perspective on a landscape often taken for granted from the shore.
